Lisa Tenerowicz joined Rose, Chinitz & Rose (then Rose & Associates) in 2005. She represents clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters and has defended individuals in civil and criminal investigations by governmental and regulatory agencies. Lisa’s practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on employment and business litigation. Lisa has represented clients in a variety of matters, including employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, and housing discrimination claims. In addition, she has negotiated separation and severance agreements for corporate and finance executives.
Lisa also advises and represents colleges and universities in a wide variety of matters, including student discipline and disability matters, employment matters, internal investigations, investigations by governmental and regulatory agencies, and general commercial litigation. In 2006, Lisa was one of the principal authors of an amicus curiae brief submitted to the Massachusetts Appeals Court on behalf of 15 Massachusetts colleges and universities in support of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Shin v. MIT, a student suicide case.
Lisa has lectured at the New England College Health Association’s Annual Meeting and the Boston Bar Association’s College & University Section meeting on student issues, and at Suffolk University Law School’s Conference on “Current Issues in Higher Education” on college and university liability for student deaths.
