prosecutions. Alan D. Rose was an Assistant United States Attorney
in the District of Massachusetts, where he prosecuted fraud and
public corruption cases. ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE represents clients
under investigation by the Department of Justice, United States
Attorney’s office, Massachusetts Attorney General’s
office, SEC, District Attorney’s offices, and State Ethics
Commission, as well as other federal and state regulatory agencies.
ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE has defended tax fraud, securities fraud,
bank fraud, political corruption, commercial bribery, health care
fraud, government procurement fraud, ethics charges, and campaign
finance and bribery charges, racketeering, and other federal and
state charges. ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE’ experience extends to
plea bargaining, trials, sentencing, appeals, collateral attack
of convictions and grand jury practice.
ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE has persuaded prosecutors not to bring charges
against many of its clients, negotiated favorable plea agreements
with recommended sentences, negotiated cooperation agreements, successfully
argued for downward departures from the federal sentencing guidelines
and tried criminal cases to verdict. Most recently, ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE
successfully represented a prominent elected official before the
Massachusetts State Ethics Commission in a case which presented
novel legal and factual issues. After written and oral submissions
by ROSE, CHINITZ & ROSE, the State Ethics Commission issued a ruling
in favor of the firm’s client.
